Waterloo is a growing community that embraces the prospects of a bright future. We have a number of exciting projects that will make our community even better. Through more than one hundred years of growth, our town has kept its charm and beauty. Waterloo became the Monroe County seat in 1825.

A lot has happened since the 1800's. Our population recently passed 10,000 with new businesses and homes popping up everywhere. Picturesque landscapes remain throughout the community. Many roads provide historic and contemporary views of farming and rural living as well. There are also a number of very tangible assets, such as good schools and neighborhoods, a healthy downtown and plenty of green space in between.

If you desire a slower, simpler lifestyle yet still want access to most metropolitan amenities, you can have both in Waterloo, just 20 minutes from downtown St. Louis, Missouri. At least come visit us!! We always love to brag on our community! We think it's GREAT!!
