Waterloo’s Christmas on the Square Weekend – November 26-27

Mark your calendars and join us for Waterloo’s Annual Christmas on the Square Weekend! Enjoy an old-fashioned, hometown feel of a great tradition – perfect for the entire family!

Saturday and Sunday, November 26-27

Waterloo Christmas Walk – Visit all 12 participating merchants, have your card stamped at each location, drop off your completed card at the last shop you visit, and be entered to win a portion of $1,000 in gift cards! Drawing will be held Thursday, December 1, 6:30pm on the corner of Main and Mill Street at the official lighting of the Waterloo Christmas tree!


Visit with Santa – Noon-4pm both days, and every Saturday and Sunday through December 18. Santa’s Hut located in front of the bandstand.

Free Carriage Rides – Noon-4pm both days. Carriage stop located at Santa’s Hut.

Visit with Frosty the Snowman and Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer – Noon-4pm both days.

Have your photo taken in the Gingerbread family cut-outs.

GLOW Holiday Lighted Parade – Saturday 5:30 pm

SPPCS Chili Supper, following parade – Saturday, at the SPPCS gym (3rd Street)

Vote for your favorite decorated lamppost – Sunday, Noon-4pm – Winners announced December 1.

Enjoy a Christmas Concert at the Bandstand, Sunday, 1pm.

Purchase your holiday cookies and candy at Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen – Sunday, 11am – Basement of Oddfellow’s Hall

Visit City Hall, Sunday, 11am and enjoy a slice of peanut cake

Attend the Monroe County Bicentennial Time Capsule Dedication, Sunday, 3pm, at the Bison statue

At the end of the weekend, top it off by attending Hometown Harmony’s Christmas Concert at Hope Christian Church – Sunday, 6:30pm.
