Waterloo Christmas on the Square

It’s  a Waterloo Tradition that you don’t want to miss!

35th Annual Waterloo Christmas Walk – Stop by at the 12 participating merchants to have your shopping card stamped. Winning cards will be drawn on Thursday, December 1, 6:30 pm at the corner of Main and Mill Street during the official lighting of the Waterloo Christmas tree!  A total of $1,000 in gift certificates awarded!

Free Carriage Rides and Visits with Santa! – Saturday & Sunday, Noon – 4pm – Courthouse square by the bandstand

Visit with Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer and Frosty the Snowman! – Saturday & Sunday, Noon – 4pm – Courthouse square by the bandstand

GLOW Holiday Lighted Parade – Saturday evening, 5:30 pm

Chili Dinner/Parade After-Party – Saturday evening, following the parade, located at the SPPCS gym, on 217 W. Third Street.

Open House at City Hall – Sunday, 11 am – 4 pm – Stop by for coffee, hot chocolate, and peanut cake!

Mrs. Claus’ Kitchen – Sunday, 11 am – 4 pm – basement of the Waterloo Oddfellows building (MASC Theater) – Support the Waterloo Band Parents’ Organization and purchase homemade cookies and candy!

Lamppost Decorating Contest – Sunday, Noon – 4 pm – Take a stroll around the courthouse square, select your favorite decorated lamppost, and vote! Winners announced Thursday, December 1 at the official lighting of the Waterloo Christmas Tree.

Waterloo Municipal Band Concert – Sunday, 1 pm at the Bandstand – Enjoy lively Christmas music at the square!

Hometown Harmony Holiday Concert – Sunday, 6:30 pm – Hope Christian Church
