1 pm – Waterloo Municipal Band Concert at the Bandstand

2013 Waterloo Christmas Walk

The Friday, Saturday, and Sunday after Thanksgiving signal the official start of the Christmas Season, and what better way to celebrate it than in our beautiful, historic Waterloo!!

Skip the huge crowds at the malls and have a truly memorable weekend shopping at our small businesses, dining at our local restaurants, and enjoying the true holiday spirit of Christmas!

Enjoy 3 days of shopping and dining, then be sure to get a great viewing spot for the 2nd annual GLOW Holiday Lighted Parade, taking place Saturday at 5:30 pm! Following the parade, walk over to SPPS grade school and enjoy a chili dinner!

On Sunday, be sure to stop by the Waterloo Chamber of Commerce’s office at 118 E. Third Street to vote for your favorite decorated lamppost!! 19 of the lampposts around the courthouse have been transformed into Christmas works of art! Vote for your favorite between Noon and 3pm. We’ll award prizes at 4pm!

Don’t forget to enjoy a free carriage ride and a visit with Santa on both Saturday and Sunday! Bring the kids for a wonderful, slower-paced weekend. You’ll be so glad you did!
