Morrison-Talbott Library, 215 Park Street, Waterloo will present a program on Donor Facts Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 1 p.m. in the afternoon.

Damarius Blanks, the Regional Coordinator for the Organ and Tissue Donor Program from the Illinois Secretary of State will be the speaker. Blanks states she is glad to have a job that helps save lives on a daily basis. She will have information for you to take home on the subject.

Organ and tissue donors save lives, restore sight and improves the quality of life for recipients across Illinois every day. Medical technology has made it possible to treat more and more diseases and conditions through transplantation. While this is great news for patients, their treatment is only available, if there are donors to help them.

This program will provide you with facts, answer your questions about how donating works and why there is a need for transplants.
