Business Spotlight – Republic Times!

The award-winning Republic-Times has covered Monroe County, since the 1890s. In that rich history of nearly 130 years, the newspaper has been published on Wednesdays and we’ve never missed a deadline!

Our award winning print edition of the Republic-Times is published every Wednesday. It is mailed to more than 2,500 subscribers, and another 800 are sold at newsstands and racks at 28 retail locations around the county. In addition, hundreds of readers subscribe to the digital version of our weekly paper online.

The website provides visitors with multiple news options including breaking news, sports scores, archived stories and obituaries. Visit its media store, where you can search archived photos from yesteryear or find your favorite local sports hero. With 1.8 million page views per year, an average of 5,000 views per day, it is a great addition to our weekly publication.

Every Wednesday and Friday, plus when breaking news occurs, we send a News Flash email to more than 5,000 recipients. It includes main news items, sports updates, upcoming events, and offers additional options for advertisers. It is a free news service. All you have to do is sign-up by visiting our website and clicking on the link under the header GET OUR FREE NEWS FLASH EMAILS.
