Business Spotlight–Home Instead Senior Care!!

1. We care for senior citizens wherever they call home.

2. We are known for great customer service, going above and beyond, and following through to make sure people are receiving the proper care.

3. We are on call 24/7 to meet our customer’s needs. we have a people over tasks mentality. Our ultimate goal is helping people.

4. Our owner, Beth Roussel, purchased this franchise 19 years ago after reading an article about this new concept in a magazine. She fell in love with the idea of seniors being able to have choices and age in place.

5. Our biggest win is being able to provide 10,000 hours of service to seniors in our community. This came about through a lot of hard work, ethical business practices, and word of mouth. This means that there a lot of senior’s in our community who are able to stay homes, where they choose to be.

6. Going out of business could have occurred after the first year when the owner was involved in a bad car accident and lost her vision. Instead, with the help of family, she just kept going and has never looked back. For any other reason, no, we have never been close to going out of business.

7. The biggest risk we ever took was introducing Integrated Care. It could have ended up being a very expensive mistake. The end result has been changing the lives of the people we serve in a more positive way than we could have ever imagined. This program brings joy to people.

8. Beth says is she could do it all over again, she would start with more staff, and not try to do it all herself in the beginning.

9. Another 100,00 for our business would mean an increased number of devices for Integrated Care so they would be available for every client. A portion of it would also be used to throw an appreciation party for our wonderful employees.

10. An interesting thing about our business is that every year, we roll out our Be A Santa To A Senior program, and with the community’s help provide gifts to lonely and/or low income seniors in our community. Last year, we were able to give out over 1,000 gifts.
