Business Spotlight–GLOW(Great Ladies of Waterloo)!!

Who we are
We are GLOW – the Great Ladies of Waterloo – an organization of women who seek to promote, empower, inspire and educate women in our southwestern Illinois community.

We are a resource open to all women, whether they own a business, seek volunteers for their cause, hope to advance their careers, or simply want to meet new people in their community.

Over the last decade, GLOW has impacted the lives of more than 300 women in the Monroe County region and beyond.

What we do
By offering networking opportunities, social events and online resources, GLOW provides       members with support, guidance and camaraderie.

GLOW hosts monthly luncheons, typically held at the Waterloo Country Club on the first Thursday of each month. These meetings are open to all women with an interest in building valuable relationships.

Our lunch meetings typically draw anywhere from 30 to 70 women eager to engage, network and learn.

There are no membership fees to join GLOW; women need only attend one monthly meeting per quarter to be considered an active member.

How we support the community


As a community organization, our members love to give back.

Not only do our members regularly donate individually to a variety of local nonprofits and fundraising events, but we also pool our resources to donate as a group.

Every year, GLOW organizes and sponsors two major community events – the communitywide yard sale in June and the GLOW in the Dark Lighted Holiday Parade in November.

Our members volunteer their time and resources to making both of these events a success every year for the enjoyment and benefit of our entire community.
